Yvonne is a trauma- and culture-sensitive therapist, coach, and experience expert who is deeply committed to supporting people on their path toward self-empowerment and inner peace.
Her therapeutic approach combines methods from the hypnosystemic approach, developed by Gunther Schmidt—one of her most inspiring and influential teachers—with innovative methods and techniques from energy psychotherapy (also known as tapping therapies):
• EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques
• TBT – Trauma Buster Technique
• TTT – Trauma Tapping Technique
These methods enable surprisingly rapid and effective—yet gentle and sustainable—relief, transformation, and healing from experienced (traumatic) stress, suffering related to unwanted emotions, as well as challenging behavioral patterns and habits. Yvonne is continually fascinated by the ease with which distressing and even traumatic experiences, the emotions associated with them, and persistent symptoms can be processed and resolved using these approaches.
It is particularly important to her to equip her clients with practical tools that they can easily use in everyday life for emotional self-regulation and stress management.
Over the years, Yvonne has continuously expanded her professional training, integrating impulses from new therapeutic developments in order to offer the best possible support. In this context, the Polyvagal Theory developed by Stephen Porges and its therapeutic applications provide important inspiration for her work.
Her commitment to strengthening the healing connection between humans, animals, and nature is reflected in the integration of animal-assisted therapy, nature-based approaches, and concepts from deep ecology. Her professional background also includes training in equine-assisted psychotherapy.
With a deep awareness that all living beings are fundamentally interconnected, Yvonne understands her role not only as supporting individual healing processes, but also as contributing to positive change in the wider world. She is convinced that individual healing is inseparable from the healing of nature and society.
Another inner compass for her is the Psychology of the Heart (Dr. Margret Rueffler), which connects individual and collective healing work with the preservation and healing of nature, as well as the philosophy and work of Joanna Macy, pioneer and leading figure of deep ecology and the environmental movement. One of her quotes has accompanied Yvonne for many years:
“The resources we need are present in the web of life that connects us.”
Yvonne brings many years of experience as a coach and therapist in private practice and has also worked as a family therapist and health coach. She supports leaders of early childhood education centers and teaches as a lecturer in pedagogical and educational fields.
Within the “Freiräume” (Spaces of Freedom), Yvonne offers therapy and coaching on an equal footing, both in individual and group settings.
Her group programs are aimed, on the one hand, at highly sensitive people and, on the other, at individuals struggling with emotional eating.
Through her TapLab format, Yvonne supports committed individuals and teams in developing inner stability and sustainable strength. Resilience for those who work for animals, nature, and the climate—acting without burning out.
She also facilitates “Borrowing Benefits”, a group setting in which one person works on their issue through tapping, while the other group members silently attune to the process, tap along, and benefit from it themselves—even when they are not in the center of attention.
Yvonne has Sardinian and German roots. She is the mother of an adult daughter and has lived with her partner in Berlin-Kreuzberg for many years. She draws inspiration from travel, literature, choral singing, and, in particular, from her relationship with her horse and from time spent in nature, which provide her with grounding and strength.
She works in German, English, and Italian.
